Description
Latest offering from Leon, but not quite ! 15 singers were each asked to perform one of Leon’s songs, which has resulted in an excellent cd with some memorable performances. It is a tribute to Leon’s standing that these performers include Roy Bailey, Robb Johnson, Martin Carthy, Barb Jungar, John Kirkpatrick and Eliza Carthy amongst others.
Leon Rosselson has been writing and performing his own brand of incisive, socially aware music with his own humorous slant since the 1960s. He has toured all over the world and his songs have been covered by many admirers, most notably by Billy Bragg who took Leon’s song The World Turned Upside Down into the charts in 1985.
Often seen performing at demonstrations and political events (often with Robb Johnson, another Four Dogs favourite), Leon has many cds for us to enjoy, and is also an accomplished and well published author.
