Description
Described by Tom Robinson as "An immaculately recorded album of rich texture and subtle harmonic surprises - achieved with deceptive simplicity by Robb's impeccable guitar technique and some thoughtful chamber string arrangements by Suskia Tomkins & Miranda Sykes". What more is there to say!
Robb Johnson. What indeed can you say about such a prolific songwriter? Robb has been crafting albums of beauty and compassion for many years now. His Gentle Men double cd was rated as the best folk cd of the year by the Guardian newspaper, he appeared at the royal Albert Hall with Roy Bailey, has recently sung with Billy Bragg on BBC4 and has composed Tony Benn’s favourite song !
As well as a string of superb releases in his own right, Robb’s Irregular and Unlabelled labels have provided a platform for some of the most exciting musicians around and has provided a boost to many a fledgling career.
