Excellent live recording of the legendary Lou Reed from a 1972 concert in New York, recorded just after the release of his classic Transformer album. Recently re-issued after being unavailable for a number of years, American Poet contains some of Lou Reeds greatest hits, and the extensive sleeve notes contain some full colour photos taken by top rock photographer Mick Rock.
