Description
American born Steve Suffet describes himself as an 'old fashioned folk singer in the People's Music tradition'. The songs he plays are mostly self penned, with some new arrangements of traditional song, along with some fine covers (Woody Guthrie and Utah Phillips).
Steve sings about working people, politics, railroads, travelling and his music is a mixture of folk, country, gospel and blues.
Although his music may indeed come from the past, the values that shine through this excellent cd, are as important and true today as they were when Woody Guthrie was singing about them in the 1930s and 40s.
