Description
Very fine solo album from Swill, frontman for the Men They Coudn't Hang and numerous other musical projects. Recorded live at Bush Studios in London during Febuary 2004, this acoustic release is a combination of folk/country/punk and skiffle, all mixed up and played by a top bunch of musicians.
In many ways it reminds us of a laterday Ronnie Lane recording, and you don't get much higher praise than that.
The Swaggerband are as good a collection of musicians as you could hope to find. Bobby Valentino making a big impact on fiddle and mandolin, who we first saw playing with the Fabulous Poodles at a gig in Canning Town very many years ago !
Great fun was apparantly had in the recording of The Day After, this comes through in this really enjoyable recording.
