Description
Rory McLeod, singer, songwriter, musician and traveller. An amazing live performer who was voted as such (Best Live Act) at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2002. Has been described as a 'human soul train', Rory's recordings really are of the very highest order.
A multi instrumentalist, guitar, trombone, harmonica, drums and percussion, even tap shoes play a part on this cd. Songs For Big Little People contains some tracks with a wind related theme that were used by a theatre piece called Huff and Puff by the Scottish dance company, Tabularasa.
The following quote sort of sums Rory McLeod up, but to fully appreciate him, catch him live or buy one of his cds;
"Orkney-based Rory McLeod has developed a stage act like no other with his 300mph rap folk delivery and his highly potent, original songs that fearlessly tackle everything from major social issues to the minutiae of everyday life."
