Description
Now then, this is a very special CD. We had only come across Cardiff based singer/songwriter Rachel Taylor-Beales recently through her debut Brilliant Blue release, and then along came Red Tree (the second of a planned trilogy of colour themed releases).
This is a CD of great depth and beauty which cries out to be listened to. The song writing is of the very highest quality and the whole cd has been recorded and crafted to an incredibly high standard.
The fact that this is only Rachel’s 2nd release is hard to comprehend due to the obvious talent and maturity on display. This is the sort of record that when you listen to you can’t understand why the performer is not selling out concert halls all over Europe and selling cds by the bucket load.
Of course having Martyn Joseph producing and playing would have helped (!) and the exquisite Cello playing of Charlotte Eksteen throughout added even greater depth to proceedings.
All in all then, a cd that will grace any record collection.
