Description
The authentic sound of Tibet. Recorded at the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in India, where this famous Monastery was re-founded in 1972 after leaving Tibet following the Chinese invasion and occupation.
A truly stunning sound of the monks chanting, reciting mantras and the beautiful sound of the Tantric Orchestra with its cymbals, horns and, as on the opening track, the haunting sound of the conch shell.
This CD was produced by the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery UK Trust, established to support the work of the Monastery and to organise regular tours in the UK, to highlight the depth and beauty of the Tibetan culture.
