Second release from the mark 2 Lindisfarne line up (the first being Roll On Ruby), featuring both Alan Hull and Ray Jackson and originally released in 1974.
Produced by Eddie Offord, best known for his work with Emerson, Lake & Palmer and Yes, and the sound he achieved is full and rounded, complementing perfectly the more commercial, mid-Atlantic direction the band had aimed for.
So a much rockier sound to this one than the earlier incarnation, and therein lay one of the problems, people still wanted to hear the Lindisfarne standards. And while it is strange on Happy Daze to find Alan Hull taking more of a backseat than previously, it is still a fine album.
This re-issue from 2008 has 7 bonus tracks from early Alan Hull demos and a 16 page booklet.
